Thomas R. "Pops" Gaumond

Following a military career, Tom served more than two decades with the Irving Texas Police Department and later became a municipal judge. After leaving law enforcement, Tom founded Dal-Star Motorcycle Escort and created one of the largest and most respected motorcycle escort companies in the State. Founding members of North Texas Dignitary Escort had the honor of working with Tom for many years. It was a privilege to know you Tom.

Michael "Moo" Johns

 

E.O.W - December 28, 2001 

Mike lost his life while serving the Coppell Texas Police Department. While attempting to catch a traffic violator, Officer Johns' motorcycle was struck by another vehicle. Prior to joining the Coppell Police Department, Mike served with the De Soto Texas Police Department. While in De Soto, Mike was a partner of one of the founders of North Texas Dignitary Escort. Rest well Partner.

Henry "Hank" Nava

 

E.O.W - December 1, 2005

On November 29, 2005, while attempting to execute  an arrest warrant for parole violation, Officer Nava suffered a single gunshot wound to the head. On December 1, 2005, Hank succumbed to the injury.  One member of North Texas Dignitary Escort also serves the City of Fort Worth as a law enforcement officer and worked closely with Hank. Rest well Hank.

Ronnie "Animal" Lerma

 

E.O.W - September 21, 1998

Ronnie Lerma, a motor officer, served the Garland Texas Police Department for 11 years. Officer Lerma, while on a traffic stop, was struck and killed by a passing motorist. The motorist struck Officer Lerma's motorcycle before colliding with Officer Lerma and knocking the violator's vehicle into oncoming traffic. One member of North Texas Dignitary Escort also served the Garland Police Department and was a close personal friend of Officer Lerma. Rest well Ronnie.

Bruce Papke

 

E.O.W - February 11, 2009

On February 11, 2009, we lost one of our own. Bruce Papke, age 57, passed away from natural causes. Before joining North Texas Dignitary Escort in December 2004, Bruce enjoyed a lengthy career in law enforcement and previously owned Dal-Star Motorcycle Escort after the passing of it's founder Tom Gaumond.  We miss you, "B".

Corey "Fester" Cooksey

 

E.O.W - December 23, 2012

Corey Cooksey, age 39, served the Irving Texas Police Department for nearly 14 years. Corey passed away on December 23, 2012 after a brief stay in the hospital. He is survived by his wife and son. Corey was a personal friend to those of us at North Texas Dignitary Escort. We miss you Corey.
